We are delighted to announce that Ofsted have judged us “Good” after their recent inspection.
The school was achieved this grade across all of the five inspection areas. The full Ofsted report can be read here.
The entire school community has worked very hard to achieve this outcome and we should all be very proud. Ofsted noted the significant improvements made, for example reading had been a weakness but is now a strength. The core values of the school are deeply embedded therefore generating good behaviour, positive relationships and ideal attitudes to learning. All pupils, from the disadvantaged to the most able, do well due to interesting lessons, dedicated staff and leaders, well matched extra help and a belief that pupils’ well-being is vital for academic success.
We thank you all for your support and help in gaining this judgement and remain committed to continually improving our amazing school.
The Wickford Infant School has improved significantly.

I am very proud of the outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection – this could not have been achieved without the dedication and commitment of all our staff, governors and children to improve plus the support of our parents. A huge thank you to everyone.Pauline Francis
